My furries are much healthier on this diet and I am overjoyed that my babies are not stinky, so when I have company stink is not in the air.

I chose this food as it is grain free and focuses more on what those cute lil fuzzies need, protein. It is part of a mix of 2 different foods, but this one is the base food.

My ferrets seem to love all the different foods I get from you. I feel that the food is keeping my ferrets as healthy as they are.

Chicken should be the first, not chicken meal. What I am saying is that there a whole lot of meal, which can mean anything, including well I am not allowed to say it here. Chicken is way down the list, if your ferret likes this so much, there is a sweetener in there. Oh wait, there are three in there!.
The bag looks suspiciously like another product like another popular Ferret food, but I will not mention it here.
There is also a fish meal in this ZuPreem, what kind of fish I do not know.

My ferret enjoys this food. She no longer has that horrible smell when she uses the restroom, and her coat is shinier and thicker.

Our little ferret is 8 years old and still very healthy. A man who raises ferrets recommended this when my grandson got "Sophie". She has never been sick and is still very active for an older ferret, since they usually only have a life-span of six to eight years. I believe it is partly due to the fact she has always been fed a very healthy diet, no grain products, only protein.

It is better than most of the food out there and doesn't have the corn that many foods have and that ferrets can't digest. And all the ferrets pick it out first! Recommend!

So much healthier for them than the terrible Marshalls food they feed them with at the stores.
This brand at petco costs $22. Here I usually get it on sale for $13 or $14. Can't believe how cheap everything is online in comparison

The ferrets love this stuff and I mix it with Wysong. I have heard from ferret shelter owner that if a ferret is prone to gall stones this will aggravate it. so please check with your veterinarian..

I switched my 3 rescue ferrets to the ZuPreem after finishing up the bag of food that they came with. After switching from the lesser quality food, I noticed that their fur was softer, they had more energy, and their litter boxes smelled a LOT less!! All great things in my eyes! They took to the food right away, and we'll stick with it.

Touting a food as 42% protein means nothing when the majority of that protein comes from potatoes and peas. Ferrets need meat protein. Evidence that the high level of veggie protein in this food may cause bladder stones is mounting. Even worse, when I approached Zupreem a year ago about the excessive pea protein I was blown off (still have the emails).
Even if they put peas at the end of the list, I wouldn't buy this food again just because of the poor customer service.
There are far better foods available for ferrets than this one.

I use this ferret food as one of the three ingredients in my ferret food mix that I feed daily. I also use in in the soup mix my ferrets get. It has the high fat and protein content that ferrets need.

I am concerned about the stones , I keep reading about ! So much that I changed my little 1.5 oz. sable girl to Evo ... For the first five days she has fought me nail and tooth. Now she likes it . It is crunchy like the Zupreem grain free. Now I have to figure what to do with a new unopened bag ..... She has digestive issues as it is . She loves the zuPreem . but I can`t take that chance !!! She is truly the object of my affection .

We were feeding this to our ferrets. Vets, rescue organizations and ferret parents are finding a higher incidence of bladder stones in their ferrets due to the peas in this product. ZuPreem is aware there is a problem. It's especially bad for male ferrets because it's extremely difficult for them to pass the stones and then they can't urinate. So the option is surgery which may or may not be successful or euthanasia. From what I have been reading, ferrets need the first three ingredients in their food to be protein.

This food is one of the best on the market. It is 100% grain free which helps fight against insulinoma. Fish meal is lower on the ingredient list than other foods. As a bonus, my furs love it! I find the price is low enough here that I buy several bags at once, get free shipping, and freeze the extra bages until needed.

I mix a combo of two different foods, one being this product, in their food bowl. That way if one gets hard to find or is no longer made I have one to fall back on. At first I purchased ZuPreem's other ferret food that is triangle shaped. The ferrets liked it, but it regularly would get lodged in the roof of their mouth and I would have to pick it out. This food does not upset their tummies and is the perfect size for them to eat :)

When I first got my ferrets they were on Marshall's food. Their coats were dull and a little rough, they didn't have much energy, they smelled horrible,it just wasn't what they needed. Once I put this out, they wouldn't even touch the Marshall's food. They love it and it's good for them, too. After I switched them to the ZuPreem, their coats got shinier and soft, they smell Sooo much better than they did, and they play a lot more because they have more energy. Plus, I'd pay $25 at Petsmart or Petco for a 4lb bag.

When I got my first ferret, the one thing my friend (who also has ferrets) stressed was to get them quality food, and recommended ZuPreem Ferret Diet. He started out on Marshalls, but took to this right away. The 2 I adopted later on also took to this food almost instantly. All 3 love it, their coats are so shiney & soft, their poo doesn't stink as bad as it did in the beginning, and they're all healthy as a horse, according to my vet. :)

I am pleased with this Ferret food because of how little filler there is in it. Since their systems can't digest veggies n fruits as well as humans, all the other stuff in the Ferret foods are just to give them weight. My Ferrets stopped mid play time to come sniff this food when I put it down, from across the room it caught their attention! I got the 30 pound bag, and I keep about 3 pounds in a plastic storage bin, and the rest in the freezer. You can't go wrong with this food!
