For those of you that think this is a clipper to body clip the whole barn... NO, of course not. That is not what it is meant for. It is perfect however for the finer areas, nose, bridle path, fetlock, tail area etc... anywhere where you don't want to use the big, bulky and noisy one. For dogs.. they are just as nice/ You can trim an entire dog with it, but again, it really is a finishing trimmer, but depending on your dog you can do the entire dog just as nicely. We use these in our shelter for the horses and the dogs and if the animal is clean... guess what.. the blade stays sharp a whole lot longer!! A great little clipper!!! 5 Stars PLUS!!!

I love this clipper. It is quiet and easy to use. My only problem is I can not find replacement plastic combs for this clipper. Not even Wahl lists them. I dropped one and would not mind buying the whole set just to replace. This is a SLIDE ON on plastic comb and I have been everywhere and no luck. Many of the Wahl and others only have the clip on which do not fit this clipper. Any help would be great.

Have had mine for 4 yrs and they are great for bridle paths, faces and legs on horses. Dependinging on patience of the horse and depth of fuzzy, I may have to drop the 2nd battery in, but normally not! I've bought one replacement blade in the 4 yrs and always Kool lube them before, during and after use. Lightweight, quiet, not made for body/trace clipping. My show Arabians love them and so do we! Highly recommend

I love these clippers, they seem to hold a charge well and are nice and quiet for the yearlings. I can take them to shows easily and are lightweight. However, I would not purchase these again because of the fact that you can't sharpen the blades, you have to buy new ones. They do NOT stay sharp for very long and after replacing about five blades, which you will have to do, you might as well have bought new clippers! Would work great for the 1-2 horse owner, but NOT a good clipper for a training barn. I am saving for a clipper that I can sharpen the blades, $5 is better that $25!

I bought a pair of these clippers and totally love the light weight and easy to handle cordless part about these. They can do big jobs or small trims. Love them grooming my cocker babies

LOVE THE CLIPPER ITSELF
AM DISAPPOINTED THAT NO ONE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO SHARPEN THE BLADE PROPERLY SO i HAVE TO BUY A NEW ONE OFTEN. ALSO HAVE TO REPLACE THE BATTERYS MORE OFTEN THAN I EXPECTED TO.

We love this clipper! We didn't have any problem grooming our border collie. We didn't even have to use the extra battery. The 1st one lasted thru the entire cut and puttered out at the end. Since the longest comb is 1/2", we will order the 3/4" and 1" from the manufacturer. Bear is now bare!

the cordless feature can't be beat, however, the power on this unit just isn't enough to get a good clean body clip done. I trace clip my horses for the winter and this is the second season with this clipper. I end up with blade marks no matter what I do. It is good enough for my horses that don't show, but if I was looking for a clipper that gave a show quality clip I would have to recommend another unit. I love the weight and the cordless feature, its quiet and easy to use but it can't power through rough dirty areas of the coat (like the deafening oster livestock clippers)- and I bathed my horse prior to clipping.

I LOVE this clipper!! I purchased it on the advice of all of the other people who did a review.
Thank YOu everyone for recommending such a great product.
Normally I spend hours clipping my toy poodle. It got to be so dreary! I finally broke down and ordered this subperb trimmer and there are no words to describe how happy I am with it.
On a "quickie", I was able to buzz off my toy poodles face, body, legs, etc., in about 3 minutes. I spent a little more time after that making sure his bracelets, ears and crown were looking good.
The last time I groomed Scottie, it literally took about 5 hours due to my putting it off and off and off... No More.
IT does the sensitive areas, (fanny, feet, face) so gently and quickly, it has taken so much of the back breaking work away, and Scottie doesn't shake anymore at the prospect of another shave.
I didn't think I could afford this unit, but it is worth every penny, even if I had to scrimp elsewhere for a couple of months. :)

Absolutely love these clippers.
I groom a golden retriever and the clippers cut hair like a knife through butter! The only problem encountered was hair wedging between the comb and clipper blade. So I started using the clippers without comb attatchments and used a large toothed comb from wal-mart. Works great that way! Batteries great too!

I love this clipper! I have 3 Cocker Spaniels that get groomed quite frequently. The only thing that I don't like about it, if it drops off of the grooming table, 99% of the time, the plastic clip that holds the blade in place breaks off and there is no way that I have found to glue it back in place.. Blades run around 25.00....

The best clippers -- I've gone through at least 5 different clippers, all cheap ones bought at Walgreens or Petco, and the extra money spent on the Arco SE makes a huge difference. It clips the hair like butter, literally. I have a miniature schnauzer, and I can cut his hair in half the time as the cheap clippers. Everyone asks me now if hes a show dog and who cuts his hair! This one is much quieter too, so it doesnt irritate him. Also, the price is about $60 cheaper than at my local Petco in LA.

I just groomed my cocker spaniel puppy for the 1st time yesterday, and these clippers were so easy to use, they are priced very well!! I would recommend these to newbies and pros alike, THEY ARE VERY QUIET, AND EVEN THE MOST TIMID PUP WONT MIND THEM!!!
NO RAZOR MARKS, EVEN ON MY 1ST TRY!!

Wonderful clipper. Works great on long, matted coats, coarse or fine hair. Lightweight, very small amount of vibration. Blades do need to be replaced -- but not more than any other clipper. And they dont get hot, which is a biggie when working with dogs with sensitive skin!

This is the greatest clipper. Being cordless gives full manuverability. The battery lasts an exceptionally long time, and if it should run down, the spare battery included is always there. The only negative ... I did drop it on the concrete floor and the plastic comb attachment I had on it did break. The clipper stood up just fine which was amazing! I have to contact the manufacturer to see if I can get replacement combs, as they are not listed in dog catalogs.

I loved this clipper, the only problem that I see with it, again is if a dog kicks it out of your hand, and it lands on the concrete floor sometimes that is the end of the blade, the blade does not hold up well to alot of heavy dirty mats, but GREAT on finish work...would highly recommend for a finish clipper.

Need frequent replacement. It is hard to find anyone to sharpen blades and do a good job. Batteries have a life span of about a year.
I have bought 5 sets of these clippers in the past
10 years. I can't live without them.
