This is a great leash lead for dogs who will be participating in off leash sports such as agility. Our dog is also a consistent loose leash walker, so the collar and lead are strictly to give us minor control. If your dog is a puller then this type of leash can lead to them putting a lot of pressure on their necks like any other collar and you should consider another option.

Wish the description would have given more description information related to the size of dog this would work best for.

While I think this product is a nice quality lead/collar combo, contrary to the write up -it does act as a "choke" and it does constrict around the dog's neck. The idea that the Martingale-type collars and lead-collar combos do not constrict and act as a chock collar is erroneous. Not that I mind, because it does provide a higher level of security and the dog cannot slip away. But, purchasers need to know how to use a collar that constricts and to say that it doesn't is misleading or assumes that an overly large-size-for-the-dog will be employed where the constriction stops prior to the two metal rings touching. Most people do not fit the collar in that way, they fit it so that it doesn't slip off the dog's neck. Therefore, it acts no differently than a traditional choke collar - so I think that part of the write-up should be clarified.
