I have 2 senior ferrets, this is the only stuff I feed to them. It has helped them look more full and their coat is shiny. They love this stuff and the price is very nice on this site, it is over $10/bag more at the local stores. I am now up to my 8th bag of thise for them and have 3 stored in the closet for when the next bag runs out. I would and HAVE recommended it to other owners of older ferrets and also those less active ferrets who are not as energetic or get out to play as much, this way they do not get overgrown and fat on some of the foods that have a higher protein content.

This food is awesome for my 9 year old ferret. He gained some much needed weight and his "droppings" are a lot more solid and healthy. He loves it! My only complaint is the food is kinda smelly. I don't enjoy opening the bag to feed him at all.

Mother of 2 (ferrets) from Eastern NC
Before adopting my ferrets, I read up on ferret care and found that it's best to serve them 3 different foods mixed together because they are so picky. That way, if one or two foods is discontinued you won't be left in a bind. This food was one of three I chose. Everything seemed fine until I could no longer find one of the foods.
It was then I realized how powerful this food smells. And if their food smells, it only makes what comes out the other end smell worse!
To top things off, one of my ferrets will not eat food out of the bowl. Whenever he's ready to eat, he walks up and scrapes out the amount he is going to eat sending food flying all over the cage. This food is so crumbly that he doesn't bother with all the small pieces, leaving all of it for me to clean up. It makes SUCH a mess! The crumbliness is evident as soon as you open a new bag and pour it into a container - the bottom is full of crumbs and broken pieces.
Nutrition-wise, this seems to have everything a ferret needs, but I would maybe recommend this only for an older ferret if he has a hard time eating other foods because this seems a bit softer than others.
A final note: Both my ferrets prefer the "cat food" shaped ferret food. This is in pellet form.

Have two seven year old ferrets and they love this product. Not good that you don't have any in stock right now.

I have a 6 year old ferret and I started feeding her this food about 2 months ago. Before I started feeding her this food she was not very active, her fur was dull and thin, she would only pick at her food, and she was very skinny. Since starting this food she is more active, her coat is thicker, and she gained some weight. I recommend this product to everyone that has an aging ferret.

I have a 4 and 5 year old ferret, and we tried the Marshall's Premium ferret diet formula and they did ok on it, but after switching them to senior formula they are not skinny their coats are much silkier, and they have a little bit more energy.
