My dog instantly chewed the dispensing hole and made it larger, causing the food to fall right out. This would have been a good idea if it was made more durable.

Priscilla (pug) loves her toy, 2/17/2011

Kimberlee from Sandpiont Id.

We got one for our puppy pug. She is now 5 years old now and it's still one of she favorite toys. She get it when we have to be gone for sometime. It keep she busy moving it around the house. Also she enjoys the treat we put inside peanut butter with lamb stick. Wish there were more toys that my Priscilla would enjoy as much as this one. Thanks for the good job..Keep them coming.

Good concept, not durable, 12/28/2010

rs from Hazelton, PA

I love the idea of interactive toys that can keep my dog busy. However, in order to get the food out of this one, my dog VERY easily just chewed it up and made the dispensing hole very large. The material needs to be stronger.

pretty good!, 2/10/2010

Nina from

I originally used this to hid scent articles in and it worked great. I then tried it as a treat dispenser and my working and foster Dobermans loved it. It is not a chew toy that involves you doing no prep/work. This is an interactive toy and its great with kibble, peanut butter, treats and interactive play!

Too easy, 1/13/2010

Rita from San Diego, CA

This is nice looking, but in 15 minutes our beagle found out that if you put your teeth on the side of the "carrier" and bit hard, the other side would bulge and everything falls out. Instant treats. Now it takes him about 60 seconds to empty this of any treats inside. Good concept but not made well enough to fool a dog for long.

Short Life, 12/31/2009

steven.a.chapman from Manhattan, KS

When i got it in the mail, i washed it then put treats it. This toy lasted honestly. 2 days. I have a Lab/Basit mix. She is only about 9 months. She loves to chew. Any toy i get for her that says tough isn't. They should let my dog be a toy tester, of toughness. All said this toy is for small dogs only.

Purdy Good, 9/1/2009

Carrie from San Marcos, Tx

This has been a great addition to Jule's toys. She's a 10 week old cavalier/goldendoodle and always up at the crack of dawn! In the mornings I have her eat her normal puppy kibble from this because her tags clank against her ceramic bowl and it normally wakes everybody up! She doesn't chew on it. The only thing that I would change is to make the closure stay tight to the setting I need for her small kibble. But I'm sure it will be perfect once I change her to normal sized food.

I wish I'd bought a bigger one and I still might, 5/29/2009

Joyce from Hamilton, Maryland

My big 6 month old shephard lab loves this toy all the time so it gives me time that I don't have to constantly eye ball him. The best way to load it for maximum time is to put peanut butter inside 1st, small kibble next and some bite sized carrots and then seal it all with more peanut butter. This makes him lick, drop it, lick and paw it for all its worth. Too bad they don't make it 8 or 9 inches wide!

Labs, 5/23/2009

Alicia from Harrisburg, PA

It obviously isn't meant to be a chew toy! That's why so many people have had problems with it being destroyed. It is meant to keep your dog occupied by having them have to work at getting the treats out by pushing it around. My year old Lab loves it and I've had no problems with its durability when it is used as intended.

My 15 month cocker loves this toy. She tried it at a friend's house and now we are ordering one for her. She normally hates any kind of rubbery toy and won't touch them, but she loved this - and not just for the treats inside. I was very impressed.

Busy Buddy, 3/8/2009

Jan from Seekonk, MA

We call it her "saucer" and my 16 month old Lab has had it since she was 9 months. When she goes into her crate or a cage at the hospital where I work, she gets it filled with little pieces of dog biscuit. She moves it about her space until she has eaten all her treats. She hasn't harmed the surface -- few teeth marks on the edge near the openings are apparent, but no distruction and no chunks gone. She gets it only when she is being confined so she has ample opportunity to trash it but doesn't. When I get ready to leave I tell her to go get her saucer and she brings it to me to be filled. I like it but maybe best for a dog who has finished teething.

Can be dangerous if..., 9/15/2008

mb from NC

...you don't screw the two halves together closely. My lab somehow unscrewed the toy a bit and was able to get his whole lower jaw into the toy. His teeth were stuck in the little holes and he couldn't it off without my help! Poor guy! He still plays with the toy, but I make sure to screw the halves down enough so that it's pretty tightly closed. Also, like other reviews have said, the rubber isn't as tough as it could be, and my dog has chewed it a bit (it's still usable though).

The perfect "busy toy" for my dog. , 4/7/2008

Danielle from Indianapolis, IN

My dog LOVES this. She can get a little fussy when I leave for work in the morning, but now I just put a few pieces of kibble in this little thing and give it to her as I'm walking out the door and presto--no more crazy whining and barking...She's too distracted by the prospect of food. It doesn't take her long to get the pieces, but it's long enough that I can get out the door. Exactly what I was looking for.

bought this to keep my cocker puppy busy during the holidays and it worked but it will need to be thrown away in a matter of days. it is probably my fault though cause she was alone more than normal and chewing to get back at me likely. she typically doesnt destroy anything but she killed this one. i will probably buy another just cause it is easy to fill with anything but her everlasting treat ball is much better quality.

Great, but gotta be careful..., 11/27/2007

danielle from truckee

Our lab LOVED this toy when we got it... it was great because we could put his normal kibble in it instead of expensive treats or pastes. BUT... he managed to tear it apart a few weeks later. It was sort of our fault it was lying empty on the floor and he was gnawing on it as usual, but not for the treats, just for the sake of gnawing. So we had to throw it away. Ill probably get another one, though, and just pick it up when hes done getting treats out of it. It is a really cool toy.

This toy is amazing. I have a 9 month old lab and it keeps him so busy. the toy is made of about the same material at the kongs so its very hard for him to destroy it. I normally put peanut butter in it and close it tight and when it gets dirty put it in the dishwasher to clean. Deff. a good toy for dogs.

My dogs love it. I fill it with kibble not their regular kibble so it is special and away they go. They have to roll it all around the house to get the treats out. It is so easy to adjust it to accomodate various size treats andor difficulty. It has held up exceptionally well and can be put in the dishwasher. I highly remommend it.

Seemed like a great idea. But my dogs had the treats out so quickly. In the process they bent the toy, so the next time I put the treats in the toy wouldnt screw in evenly and the treats fell out. Had to throw them away after 2 uses. Dont waste your money. The Everlasting Treat Ball is so much better for durability, and you can put the treats inside there as well.

Our dog figured out pretty quickly that to get to the treats he just had to chew through the plastic. In fact, it only took him 15 minutes to have this toy totally destroyed! For a mild to moderate chewer, I'd say this toy would be great but for the heavy duty chewers you might want to look for something more industrial strength.

My 60lb. lab/shepherd/husky mix loves this toy (and so do I!). She has the tendency to inhale her food, a habit that stresses her digestion and weight management. I fill the busy buddy up with her breakfast and dinner and serve it to her that way instead. She eats slower and has a fun time!

A wonderfull product! It is MUCH easier to fill with goodies and to clean up after particuraly messy treats than the original Kongs. The ease of cleaning is this toys #1 asset(if you have ever tried to clean dried peanutbutter out of a regular Kong you know what I meen) It is also easier for your pooch to get to the treats. PERFECT for the less destructive dog that you want to keep intertained!I only gave it 4 stars because it is not for all dogs, those with destructive/higher energy/high intensaty dogs are better off sticking with the original Kongs due to this toys soffter rubber and easy pull apart screw desighn.

I have had this toy for about a year and it is still going strong. My Border Collie/Dalmation is even kept busy by this. The first ngiht it took her about 2 hours to get it unscrewed, but now she does it in about 30 minutes. But my Lab mix still does not have it quite figured out and so it keeps her ocupied for hours. They love it. It is the favorite toy of the house (when there are treats in it)! It has held up extremely well to my aggressice chewing Border Collie. I would highly recommend it.

My 7 lbs Morkie (Yorkie/Malteese) really enjoys this toy. She is by herself most of the day and so I fill this with cheerios and screw it on as tight as possible. By the time I get home I will find it completely unscrewed. I tried it on the weekend so I could watch and it took her several hours to get all the treats out of it. Only after that did she unscrew the two halves to see if she could find more.

although i agree that the plastic isn't as strong as other toys, my dog LOVES this and it keeps him busy much longer than a kong. the best part about this is that the toy is adjustable. you can make it very difficult for your pup to get the food out of the toy, or make it easier by keeping it more open. i've found that if my pup needs to be occupied, THIS is the way to go.

Chew Toy, 1/4/2006

Kathy from Newberg, OR

I had a similar experience as the other reviewer. My dog chewed a hole in it to get the treats out, and at this point it is looking rather mangled. It is still usable, but I wouldn't recommend it for really agressive chewers. However, it does keep my dog completely occupied until she gets all the goodies out (one way or another).

Mixed results, 11/17/2005

Jen from Raleigh, NC

Three of our dogs had a good time licking peanut butter or dog food out of these toys, but the fourth started chewing on it and managed to chew half of it to bits before we saw it and took it away from her. She's not an especially strong chewer, so the rubber doesn't seem to be as tough as some of their other toys. A more durable rubber would make this toy awesome and I would buy more.
