my dog "Mia" half boxer half lab. loves the food. but I've noticed soft stool. I don't know if its just the change in food for her. or if its the food itself. i would love some feed back from anyone.

Our 4 1/2 month old champ bred Samoyed came to us from the breeder eating this and continues to love it and thrive. High quality, natural diet food without being ridiculously expensive. Sometimes we mix it with VF brand large breed puppy food to cut cost but keep the high quality food.

Good quality, low poop food. Only trouble is that my Engilsh Mastiff puppy doesn't like it. She is forever sneaking food from our adult dog's bowl that isn't nutritionally balanced for her breed and age. I'll shop for a chicken based or flavored food and see if that changes anything.

We have a 5 month old boxer that we have been feeding Solid Gold Wolf Cub since we picked him up. He looks amazing; he still has his "puppy fur" and is so soft and shiney and is growing at a nice rate. He is full of life, spunk, and energy through the roof. He eats every last bite of his food....but his stools are consistently very loose and very light in color. He does not eat human food (unless he manages to reach up on a shelf when someone is not looking.) He seems completely uneffected by this, but I'm wondering how normal it is. He "goes" in large quantities and at least 4-5x a day. SO...I have mixed emotions: he looks amazing and strong and is full of life, but has very soft stool. I won't feed him the other junk out there...

Our 6 month old golden retriever came home on Purina puppy chow. She always scratched, we figured she hated her collar. I tried her on Science Diet, no change. Bumped up to Nutro Maxx and she got worse. Read an article about beet root {pulp} being toxic to dogs and it was in both brands. She has been eating Solid Gold for 1 week along with Seameal supplement. Jessi is a very happy pup now, scratching is over :)

My Golden Retriever went through several brands before we settled with Solid Gold Wolf Cub.
He was eating Royal Canin when we took him from the breeder. From there, we tried Eukanuba for a few weeks. It was OK but after a while he didn't want to eat it. Also, he kept scratching all the time. Then we tried Hill's Science Diet since this is the one recommended by his vet. It was OK. He liked it better than Eukanuba because his feeding bowl is always empty BUT his scratching got worse. After researching on the web, we discovered Solid Gold Wolf Cub.
It was perfect for him. He always finished his meal (and would ask for more) and his scratching has stopped. During the first reunions with his other siblings, my retriever is noticeably bigger BUT not fat.
He's now more than 6 months old and about 55 lbs. We have no plans on trying out other dog food. We're solid Solid Gold.

My Golden retriever has been on a diet of solid gold wolf cub dry food and solid gold canned food since he was 10 weeks old. He is now 8 mos. and has been growing at a good rate. His coat is beautiful and the vet is amazed by his temperament. He is extremely calm and laid back for a pup. By mistake, he ate a cheaper brand of dog food at my mothers house. There was an immediate change in his behavior! He became hyper and couldnt contain himself. I attribute his behavior change to the different food he had eaten. It took an hour or so for him to calm himself down. The added sugar and perservatives in the different food affected him. His temperament is incredible and we have not deviated from his solid gold diet since that day!

This puppy food is wonderful! I have a Golden Retriever named Lexie and she loves it. I would recommend this food to anyone with a large breed puppy.
