Product Summary:
EVO Dry Ferret Food

Ferrets, being strict carnivores, require a high animal protein and fat in their daily diets, along with low carbohydrate intake. However, a diet limited to meat alone could cause harmful nutritional imbalances. In recent years, due to the lack of availability of high-quality ferret foods on the market, many ferret owners have become attracted to feeding a homemade or raw diet which they believe approximates the evolutionary diet of a ferret. That is, until now. EVO Dry Ferret Food was created to supply a high protein, low carbohydrate formula that mimics the ingredients and nutritional profile of a raw diet.

Features:

  • Grain free for when extra carbs and grain intolerances are a concern
  • High levels of protein from quality meat, poultry and fish
  • Excellent palatability
  • Skin and coat health
  • High digestibility and decreased waste
  • Energy and nutrient-dense
  • Formulated with added antioxidant vitamins
  • Fortified with vitamins and minerals

    Awesome!, 2/21/2012

    David from Woodbridge, VA

I was stupidly using Marshal's litter because it was recommended to me. I switched them to the EVO and I can't believe how bad their fur coats were prior. They now have full, vibrant coats of fur. They were gobbling up Marshal food so fast and the waste was horrible smelling to say the least. Now they eat half as much with very little waste odor, and less poop as well. Highly recommend.

    DAWN CAREY from boone n.c.

we were giving marshals dry food to our ferrets for many years and when we went to a new pet store to buy another ferret the clerk told us about evo and how the higher protien will make the ferrets eat less and improve their weight and coats. overall better health without all that grain included.

    Great food., 10/13/2011

    Emily from Tennessee

This food has 50% protein so it is really really good for kits and ferrets up to 3 years of age. But if they are 3 years or older, unless they are sick or need to gain weight, then they should not have this food because the high protein content is too much for adults. Another really good food that is 36% protein and what I am getting for my 2 1/2 year old girl is Innova adult cat food.

    Well worth the price!, 10/12/2011

    Chelsi from Darlington, PA

Yes Evo is a little pricey but believe me, it's well worth the money. I feed a mixture of this and 8 in 1 Crunchy. I switched over to this from Marshalls crap food YEARS ago once I learned how horrible Marshalls is for fuzzbabies. I have 5 ferrets, all from Petco, and after I switched them over to this from the Marshall food that Petco feeds their coats filled out and fluffed up and became so soft and shiny. I won't buy anything else!!!!

    Amazing Food!!!, 8/12/2011

    mrs.stanfield from Richmond, VA

I LOVE this food! I have a VERY picky ferret who I've tried to switch over to a healthier food before and he wanted NOTHING to do with it and this food he was THROWING his old food out of the bowl to get to it! I also love the size of the kibble! The food they used to be on was way too big for them and my picky ferret, Bear was almost choking on it but there was nothing I could do because I couldn't get him to switch! I am SO glad that I have found a healthier food that he will eat and with smaller kibble. A definite thumbs up from me!

    New ownership, 7/25/2011

    PetcoEmployee555 from calfornia

I recently bought this evo food seeing how it WAS one of the best foods to feed with its current ingredients and no grain. BUT recently i have heard that the are now owned by Procter and Gamble (who make crappy iams and Eukanuba dog food) and they are being sued for not really having the nutritional value they claim. So until things get settled and such I suggest getting Wysong food for the price.

    Beware in Older Ferrets, 7/20/2011

    Winnie62 from Columbus, OH

My ferret of 6 was fed this food her entire life and ended up with renal failure which was attributed to the high protein content. Other ferret oweners have been experiencing the same. Not a bad food for a younger kit, but consider a lower protein content for ferrets over 3 years.

    Excellent Food, 4/4/2011

    Lishop from Naples, FL.

One of the few ferret foods that doesn't contain all the stuff that ferrets shouldn't have!! Our ferrets coats and energy have improved greatly since switching from the diet they were on previously. Maybe Evo can make it a bit more affordable so that more people and well as rescues (where we adopted our girls) that have so many ferrets to feed, are able to afford to give their fuzzies this great food!

    Kim from NC

Both my ferrets are Marshall's so that's what they were eating when I got them. I switched them to EVO and they look like entirely new little furbutts. Their coats are soft and fluffy and their poop is no longer runny and as smelly. My vet even commented on how much better their coats looked after just 3 weeks on EVO. Oh, and my dog is constantly trying to eat it, too haha

    great, 12/14/2010

    cr from

I adopted a lovely ferret from a well meaning couple who was simply uneducated on ferret care. My guy had been eating marshals and it showed. His coat was sparse and rough and he was bony and thin. I switched over to EVO about six months ago. For the first four months his stool was EXTREMELY runny. After about five months it started to return to "normal" and drastically decreased in volume. To everyone concerned about runny stool, in my experience this is a temporary condition. My ferret had no qualms about the switch and ate the evo the first time i gave it to him. Finally, the six pound bag has lasted me nearly six months, awesome value

Evo is definitely a great food! Shortly after feeding it I noticed dramatic changes with my ferrets. Their coats are silkier, they smell less, and they're more active. The only problem with Evo is that it takes months for them to fully adjust to the food. Until then their stools are quite watery. Also one of my ferrets has trouble eating it because the kibbles are smaller than she's use to. Overall though, it's a pretty good food. My 2 ferrets enjoy the taste and one bag last us quite a long time.

    High protien count, but..., 12/11/2010

    Barbra from

Switched to this when one of my males developed pancreatic tumors. He bounced right back, so I started feeding it regularly to the other 5 as well. Since then my other 3 males have become overweight and ALL off my ferrets have loose, runny and smelly stools. So as per vet recomendation I'm going to start mixing in a food with a lower protein count to help regulate their weight. A note to those who purchase EVO regularly: BEWARE! Too much protein can be just as harmful to your fuzzie as not enough

    MK from

My ferrets love this food and have had no issues with it. We've been feeding it to them for years after a lot of research. One question though - it appears the content listed on EVO's website is different than what's listed here. I now see the cat food to have the EXACT same content as the ferret food (per their website - notice the lower carb %). Does anyone know if the formula was recently changed?

Perhaps the best but expensive, 10/13/2010

    Mike from

Check the ingredients, top 5 are all animal based protein/fat which is great! Never had a ferret refuse it. 2 small drawbacks: ferrets stool tends to be watery and its price, my solution to both issues is to mix it with 8 in 1 Ultimate (make sure to get the Ultimate as the regular 8 in 1 is high in corn content which is not healthy for a ferret). Well worth the extra money you'll pay for it.

    Kat from Sumter, SC

Our ferrets are Marshal ferrets and so everyone tells us that they have to eat the Marshal food..... but it just isn't really that great for them. Lots of corn in it. This one has a lot less. Our girls took to this pretty quick. They normally hate having any other food or treats (yeah, they HATE treats!!!) but they started to dig this out just so they could eat it it with in 2 days. One is about 2 years old and the other is about a year. They even have less waste with this food. Alittle pricey but worth it since they dont eat as much.

    EVO Dry Ferret food, 4/13/2010

    L.M. Dupler from Annville, PA

This food is the best for ferrets. I had my little guy on ZuPreem when I first bought him, but he would often choke on the kibble. He liked it and was growing, but the constant choking scared me. I recently switched to EVO and the choking has stopped. His fur is more fluffy and much softer and he is so much better. It may cost a little more but it's worth every penny.

Great Coats, but Slimy Poo, 3/20/2010

Lori from Nine Mile Falls WA

I tried this food for my 3 fuzzies - since the nutritional content is better than their prev food (Marshalls). it took them awhile to make the change over - I mixed both foods for a week, and they finally accepted all EVO. Their energy was up, and their coats looked fabulous. Unfortunately, it made their poo more liquid and sticky, with more messes in the cage, outside the litter box. I kept them on straight EVO for about 8 weeks, hoping their system would adjust; but the sticky poo continued and I am back to a half and half mix with Marshall. They continue with higher energy and better coats than with straight Marshall, so I will continue this regimen.

This food is great, my ferrets love it, they're happy and healthy and have good coats of fur, but I found out that the EVO cat food is exactly the same as the ferret food, so you can get a lot more food for less, and you'll probably be able to find it local easier. Juuuust a thought.

    Recently switched, 12/24/2009

    Emmmm from Clarence, NY

I have used several types of foods. Loved Zupreem, but when one of my ferrets had tender teeth, it was impossible to soften it as it is an extremely hard food. Use to feed Evo, but switched to Eagle Pack, as I love it for my dogs. Evo creates a lot of dander and skin issues in GSDs. Eagle Pack just YANKED their ferret line off the market! So, I am back to the Evo, though my six fuzzies aren't too thrilled...yet. I offer a bowl of dry, soaked, (all soaked will ferment in a couple of days,) and a bit of canned. Eagle Pack was great. Great coats, good weight, palitable...My adrenal female, (no surgery,) "recovered," but I think due to a change in lighting,(LESS of it,) as that was the only change she was subject to, when her "body" changes occurred. I appreciate all of your reviews and hope this is the answer to my "FORCED" change. As for smell, THEY'RE FERRETS! No matter the food, POOP STINKS! LOL

My little girl loves it! I mixed it with her old food (Marshall) to allow her to get use to it, and she just eats around the Marshall's. She has been on the new food for about 2 weeks now. I have noticed that she is producing about half the waist that she was before. I clean her box in the morning and evening. Before, her box would be full within 12 hours (she does not use the same spot twice) and she would at times go outside her box if it was full. Now she may only have 3-4 messes between cleaning. Her mess is softer but had only been runny twice. Kitty is only 4 months old and has adjusted well to her new food and she loves it too

This IS the best nutritionaly balanced food for fe, 10/13/2009

    Paige from Wilkes-Barre, PA

Hi! Our names are Snickers and Kina! I (Snickers) am an adult male ferret and I'm almost four. I (Kina) am a young ferret and I'm almost one! Our Mommy just switched us to EVO and we LOVE LOVE LOVE it and we can't get enough! It makes us so hyper and healthy too! Our coats are so shiny and Soft and when we go potty it doesnt smell hardly at all! And we need all the protien that in it AS WELL AS the veggies that are in for their nutrients! Theres hardly any in there! At least we have nutritonal value from natural things instead of chemicals and artificial suplements. WE LOVE EVO! * A HAPPY FERRET IS AN EVO FERRET* =þ

    Permanent Buyer, 9/28/2009

    Blackarachnia from Henderson, NV

Before this economy effected my ferrets, I had bought in large quantities. When I had no choice but to buy a different brand, and cheaper, I noticed the difference between their coats and their waste. I was excited to have some extra cash so I can get the furry snakes back on Evo.

My ferret absolutly loves her evo, I got her as an adoption over a year ago, She wasnt doing well on her old food so I switched her. She loves it, it makes her fur bright white and shiny, and she has tons of energy. definatly worth it, the cost isnt an issue because it's better for her she naturally needs to eat less of it. it's just fantastic food. It's also nice to be able to pronunce the ingredients its made from

My babies love this food!, 8/15/2009

    Erin from Portland, OR

My guys aren't very picky eaters so I didn't have any trouble switching them from the Zupreem brand. I was having problems with their waste smelling really bad. Since I switched them to EVO their waste doesn't smell as bad and their coats look amazing. My babies love this food but like some other reviewers commented each fuzzy is different.

    Best food!, 8/11/2009

    Amanda B. from Oregon

Our two fuzzies LOVE this food! We switched them to this from Marshall because the nutritional content seemed just a little bit better. We mixed the new food in with the old and they would pick it the EVO because they liked it better! We now have them on straight EVO and they have very healthy coats and are very energetic, much more so than on Marshall.

Big price and ferrets won't touch it, 8/2/2009

    Mary Ann from Upstate, NY

When I bought this, it came in a 20lb bag, and was over $50. I thought it was going to be good for my 5 kids but they wouldn't touch it at all. I think it was a total waste of money. If you are going to try a new food, buy a small bag first to test it. I even mixed this with other foods and they still pick through it and won't touch what they don't like.

Evo Is One of the Best as of yet I own 7 Ferrets 4, 7/25/2009

    MacKenzie from Denver, CO

    1) The food is great nutritionally for your ferret 2)Once they get used to it they have less fecal matter and urine 3)Coats actually do get Really soft ( like just after a bath) Plus my white albino ferrets went from a kind of orange color to SNOW 4)It took mine 2.5 months for their bodies to adjust, they had diarrhea and got a little smaller at first.Because they didn't want to try it, now they love it, takes time for them to adjust 5)Now currently My Jill's have CHUBBY areas, where as before they were literally 1LB each now proud to say they are up to 1.5-1.7 My 4 Bad boys are up to 2.5-4.2 pounds 6) This food is priced extremely WELL compared to petco,or petsmart they are screwing you over! 7)Paired up with either Zupreem or Totally Ferret It is the best food Out there so far I would recommend this to anyone, Though they will get diarrhea for a while, just mix it gradually and after about 3 months depending on how picky your ferrets are you will get the great results

    All fuzzies are different, 7/17/2009

    Marivelisse Corr from Suffolk, NY

One of my fuzzies has a digestive problem so my vet recommended I change their food. My fuzzy has not gotten better in fact is worse, his stool is basically liquid. To make things worse now my other fuzzy has loose stool too, which he never did. Here is what I say... Is a great product but not every fuzzy is the same, unfortunately, I happen to be part of the handful of ppl that have to switch back to my old food, which was Marshall. Truth is only you will be able to tell if it's good for them or not.

    Huh?, 7/16/2009

    Lonny Eachus from Spokane, WA

I gave the product a middle-of-the-road rating, because I haven't actually tried it. But I HAD to reply to the review from Monical of Klamath Falls, who slammed it for containing potatoes, carrots, and so on. Monica, if you know anything about ingredients lists in the U.S., you know that they are listed in order from highest percentage to lowest percentage. And the pototoes, carrots, sprouts, and tomatoes are listed AFTER "Natural Flavors", so they can only be present in amounts that are pretty trivial. Complaining that ferrets cannot digest this is like complaining about using a pinch of nutmeg in a recipe because a jarful of it can cause hallucinations. Please learn to keep things in proportion.

    Good Stuff, 6/29/2009

    Spoiled babies from NY

I usually give my guys two bowls to choose from. One with dry and one with boiled chicken/turkey/duck.etc. and sometimes my big guy chooses the EVO over the chicken, ha. I've tried various foods 8inone, Marshals, Zupreme, and Wellness Core cat food and EVO seems to be the winner. There's noticeably less waste because the ingredients are more digestible. I'd also like to respond to the previous comment that yes fruits and vegetables can cause blockages to ferrets, but I believe that these are ground up and used because of their nutritional/antioxidant value. Evo is just telling you the nutrients are coming from actual foods instead of a long list of chemicals including Ethylenediamine Dihydriodide.

    Monica from Klamath Falls, Or

This has to be the WORST food I have seen for a ferret!!!! Yes its very high in protein - - but READ the ingredents!!! HELLO!! Ferrets can NOT digest fruits and vegtables!!! This products has Potatos, Apples, Carrots, Alfalfa Sprouts, Cranberries, Tomatoes, Cottage Cheese, Root Extract. 9 items that can all cause your poor litte furry to get a blockage!! PLEASE do your research- - go to www.ferret.org that is the American Ferret Association- this is a great site for PROVEN facts.

I have been using this food, but the cat version(almost identical ingredients and nutrition info, just easier to find) of this food ever since I read the back of the bag. This is exactly what the ferrets need, high protein and no grains. My ferrets both eat this food and love it!

I feed evo and 8 in 1 to my fuzzies and their coats are FAB! When i got my boy he was severely neglected, underweight with a grungy coat...now only about a month later he's a healthy weight and his coat shines. The price is high, but it does last awhile! It really isn't expensive in the long run trust me.

Best food on the market;best food close to raw die, 5/7/2009

    Simon from Newaygo,MI

My ferret's are Marshall ferrets, that being said they both grew up on Marshall food and I decided upon extensive research that EVO and Zupreem were the closest to a natural raw diet I could find. Read the first 3-5 ingrediants,if it's not a meat product then move on to another food. This food being mostly meat, you will notice upon switching your ferret to a raw diet (or raw based) that atleast for the first week or so that thier stool may smell and they may have dierhea. To avoid this slowly mix the new diet into the old one. Once you do this you'll find that Zupreem and EVO are the best combination resulting in a good clear coat, more energy and less stool!

    Jesse from Columbia, MO

I've been working with ferrets for research and owned them as pets for some time, and I won't feed them anything other than a 1:2 ratio mix of Evo and Natural Gold when a raw diet isn't feasible. Very reasonable price for the amount of food you get, and it offers a well-balanced diet for your critters when compared to most other products on the market.

    The best food., 3/23/2009

    Ashley from Tacoma, WA

I have tried many other ferret foods and this one by far makes her fur the softest. I never know my little ferret would feel softer than my cat! Also, her poo is less stinky with this stuff because of the ingredients... The cheaper foods would give her poo almost a fishy smell, it was pretty bad.

My little LuLu was on the Marshall diet until I decided to look for something better. I searched high and low, read ingredient panels and every review available. This food is THE BEST. LuLu has more energy, a soft and shiny coat, and less in the litter pan due to the fact that she is now absorbing the nutrients. Great stuff I can't say enough!

    VERY GOOD FOOD! , 2/14/2009

    Frank from Azusa, CA

I work in a pet store that specializes in premium pet foods, and I found this food to be the best on the market. Just read the ingredient panel, this food actually has meat as a protein source (within the first 5 ingredients) instead of grains like corn or wheat, along with the essential vitamins and minerals. I have been raising my ferrets on this along with a cat raw diet and they are fabulous in color, build, and overall health. Just remember with a premium food like this weening the ferret on it instead of "cold turkey switching" is key! ferrets will be naturally drawn to it because they can sense the meat in the food. Hands down the BEST! I would pay double for this food knowing my ferrets will have a long and healthy life :)

    Evo is really good, 2/3/2009

B Hanson from North St Paul, MN

I started off using Evo, tried a few other brands and came back to Evo. A bag lasts a long time for 2 pets in comparison to other foods. We bought a different brand when we ran out and the pet store that carries Evo wasn't open. A bag of Evo usually lasts about four to five + weeks. The new food only lasted two weeks. When we bought a ferret from the pet store, who was on Marshall's his white undercoat was oily and yellow looking. After we brought him home he was on Evo and his undercoat turned white. I've heard others say that Evo makes white and albino ferrets actually LOOK white. The biggest downside to this food is that it makes softer stool and gives energetic animals more energy but not the poundage. So both of my pets look way too skinny.

Henry Van Zanten from Sharpsville, PA

Within 12 weeks our 3 ferrets' coats were significantly thicker and silkier. They all gained muscle mass and lost their belly pudge. Expect loose stools for a few weeks till their digestive tract adapts, and a change in stool odor.

Picky @ First But Healthier, 12/5/2008

    A Robertson from Atlanta, Ga

I started my 2yo ferrets on this recently, and am fairly pleased. I believe they're healthier with the higher protien content and less prone to health problems with excess carb diets. They were slightly turned off by the food at first and lost alittle weight, but they are both gaining it back now and seam "leaner" than before. Their energy is up and they like it wet or dry. One slightly unpleasant side effect to be ready for: their poop will smell much stronger on this food, more like a cats IMO. I'm guessing it's the protien. I use a waste nutralizer additive in their water to help combat the "different" smell.

    Good for my ferret, 11/25/2008

    Jessica from New York, NY

I recently adopted my old-lady ferret from a ferret shelter and immediately switched her to this food when I brought her home. She seemed to love it. I did notice that her stools were a little loose when she first came home, but I later found out that it was because of a bacterial infection that she had picked up at the shelter (not the food). Once she had antibiotics, her stools were solid. She hasn't had any problem with this food since and her coat is nice and shiny. She has a lot of energy now for an old lady too!

    Bad for our guys, 11/6/2008

I bought a bag based on the nutritional content, but after transitioning our ferrets to this food, they had constant diarrhea! I transitioned them back to the 8-in-1 Ultimate and they're happier than ever.

I have been feeding my ferret (6) of them Evo the last 3 months. They are healthy as ever. They look plump and eat less of the food and doesnt go to the bathroom as much. Their skin is so soft now. The owner of a Ferret non kill shelter recommended it to me and it works like a charm.. wouldnt buy anything else !!!!

    Not Good, 10/2/2008

    Gayle from Natick,MA

We mixed the Evo with two other foods our 4 ferrets had been eating for the past year. They ALL got diarrhea and their stool smelled HORRIBLE. Worse than any pet poop I have smelled. (And I work in a vet clinic,so yes, I've had to smell alot)I found it unusual that all four ferrets had a problem. Bad batch? Or just bad food? We wouldn't try it again. If not only for the bad diarrhea, but for the god-awful stench of the poop that even our industrial quality Ionic Breeze air purifier couldn't handle.

    Allergic Ferrets, 9/30/2008

    Ange from Vancouver, BC

I tried my little guy on this because it seems so healthy, but by the end of the bag he'd lost almost a pound and had constant gas/diarhhea, even mixed with his other food. I make sure to feed him chicken free food now, and he's much healthier--watch out for allergies!

    5 Stars!, 9/30/2008

Gregory Bleeker from Toms River, NJ

I got my delivery of Innova EVO ferret food last week, my ferret is 5 months old so I soaked it for him and 2 days later I discovered mold in the food pan growing. I immediatly flushed it and poured him a dry serving. It's one week later and he decided to try it today for the first time, he seems to like it alot, I still have his Sheppard & Greene food which he has been eating prior to this, i'm just glad he's accepting multiple kinds of food now.

    Innova Evo, 9/21/2008

    Conny from Indiana

I was worried my guys wouldn't like it right off and I'd be wasting my money. Not so.....they love it so much that they started refusing one of the other two foods I have in the mix, 8in1 Ultimate Crunchy. They hide the 8in1 in their bedding now, :). It did seem to make their stools a bit softer and a bit smellier, but that's nothing I can't live with.

    Doing the Homework!!!, 8/22/2008

    L. Ames from Hills. OR

It is very encouraging to know that people want to know the best care for their pet and I am so glad that Evo IS rated one of the best out of 4 different ferret foods out there. I give my son's ferret a varied diet since it is suggested that it helps them adapt to different foods in the future and I've got the 4 foods mixed with raw foods on the side. There HAS been an obvious change in our ferret's health, energy and all around with the mix and even though the poop smells, what poop doesn't? I am so grateful you carry Evo as it is one of the BEST on the market for ferrets.

    Excellent Food!, 8/12/2008

    Kristi from Eugene, OR

Even my vet wanted to know what food I was feeding my ferrets to make their coats so shiny and healthy. The ingredients in EVO ferret are wonderful. My ferrets love this food, so it was easy to switch. Even my cat wants to eat it. The only possible semi-negative thing I can say is that the kibbles break apart easily and make a lot of crumbs, but this is probably because there aren't a lot of carbohydrates in the food. It costs slightly more than other brands, but it's worth it. I don't think there is a dry ferret kibble with higher protein (with the exception of Wysong Archetypal, which equals EVO ferret). Do your ferrets a favor and feed them the best!

My ferret absolutly loves this food, he does leave a ton of crumbs though it looks like tiny dog food and he loves breaking down and eating it, and i have noticed he does not eat as often he stays fuller a lot longer so food last a lot longer than other brands.

    Great carnivore diet, 6/16/2008

    Terri from Manhattan, KS

My ferrets really love it! It does add an odor to their feces, but I'm sure that is due to the large amounts of protein in the diet, which is a good thing. I too, mix the food with Marshalls and that gives all my ferrets a choice and cuts down on the smell. :)

    Cat from NJ

Both of my ferrets really seem to like it, but it makes their poo really messy and smelly. Little accidents are much harder to clean up now. Also, one of them took a few weeks to adjust to it. He was really low on energy to the point where I took him to the vet. I now mix it with Marshalls. Much better.

    Ferret Vet Researcher Recommended!, 3/4/2008

Little's and Honee's Mom from Kalamazoo

MI State vet ferret researchers recommend Innova Evo Ferret Food over any other dry diet on the market. One of my girls (a foundling) had bladder stones, and almost died. After her surgery, my vet conferred with these ferret specialists/researchers who told her that if ferrets cannot be fed a natural prey diet (including bone and viscera), this would be the best alternative (kibble) they would recommend. Both of my girls are happy, active and healthy with absolutely beautiful coats. FIVE STARS to Ferret.Com for carrying this quality product!

Better than most but not ideal yet, 2/19/2008

    JosiesMom from Ormond Beach, FL

I've added Innova Evo Ferret to my kibble mix. But Eventually I'd like all my ferrets to switch to a healthier, natural prey, raw meaty bones diet. While Inova Evo doesn't have corn, it still is quite full of carbs and plant items which ferrets just cannot digest. I have emailed the mfr requesting info from them about their nutrient guideline source and there has been no reply. Ferret owners are becoming more informed as well as very concerned to feed the best to offer their pets the best health. It is a recognized fact that diets high in plant matter contribute, possibly cause, numerous health issues and it would behoove manufacturers to step up to the plate and offer a product that is trully beneficial and healthy. That being said, Innova Evo IS a much better product than several of the ferret kibbles on the market. It apparently isn't the best tasting to my ferrets, because they will eat the Totally Ferret turkey, venison, lamb first. But it is still new to them also. I'd recommend it to people that feed a kibble diet.

    Best Ferret Food, 2/17/2008

Josh Cossey from Little Rock, AR

After reading many Ferret food comparison charts and analyzing them all myself I concluded this to be the best Ferret food on the market. It is high in protein 50% and low in carbs 15% and also has 21% fat. It is all/mostly meat besides some vegetables and has no meat by products. It has no harmful toxins or products such as corn. I highly recommend this product. The only thing I’ve heard bad about this product is it may make your fuzzy’s poop stink more but I think it depends on your Ferret as mine have no problems in this area. My second choice for food is ZuPreem and I actually mix these two together. My Ferrets have great weight and shiny health coat since I switched them to their new diet from the Old Marshalls diet.
