My three chiboyz LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these chews! I take them everywhere, so I must always have bully sticks too! All three of my chi's are 10 lbs or less and they go thru sticks & braided bullys faster than you would expect! Health benefits are extremely incredible too! First, is the dental aspect and my chiboys have very healthy, beautiful teeth - thank goodness! Other very important is they digest very easily.
Now, the smell of them sometimes is noticeable (I'm more used to it than my husband, so it's not bothersome for me), but heath benefits far, far outweigh that minor issue for our family! Buy one or two and try - much better than rawhide chews for sure! Make sure you also buy from an USA distributor only!

Many people on here are complaining of the stink...this is because bully sticks are bull penises and you can buy them with or without the urethra. With obviously smells like urine. The ones without have no smell...my dog loves these but I buy them from our local pet store which gave me the above information.

Sorry to say, although my dog loves this product, it stinks! Literally. While enjoying tv, my husband & I thought our dog had "gone" on the carpet, only to find he was chewing his bully stick. I threw it away only after it stunk up my living room. Live & learn!

I purchased the 9inch size , I first thought it was too big for my puppy . But he has chewed it end to end no problem. Item provides my teething 10wk old puppy with hours of enjoyment. I'm happy with this item as he does not chew the furniture anymore! Highly recommended.

I ordered several 5" bully sticks for my two dogs and, when they arrived, not one of them was longer than 4 1/4 " with several being only 4". In addition, although I did not order extra thick ones, these were as thin as a pencil. I used or order bully sticks by bulk from dog.com. The last time was a couple of years ago & my dogs would not touch them although they always loved them before. I called and was told they were getting them from a different supplier. I thought I would try them once again, but just got a few. Those that were sent absolutely are not worth the price when they are only 80% as long as they should be!

These are a bit pricey but so worth it. I purchased the 3-4 inch size for my 5 month old Cavalier & he is crazy about them! It takes him days to finish them. I have not had the smelly problem others have had but it could be because these are the smallest size. His breath smells a bit after chewing on them but the benefits outweigh that by far. They do indeed get softer as he chews on them, so if you're squeamish I wouldn't recommend picking them up.

A few months ago, I brought a few 3-4in. individual ones for my teacup chihuahua. The individual bully sticks were stuffed in a plastic shopping bag, and the smell was so bad that I didn't want to give to my tiny chihuahua. I'd thought the individual bully sticks were individually wrapped, but it wasn't. However, I did ignored the smell (when I got it), and I did gave one to my chihuahua. Yet, he chew a few times and left it. And after a few hours, I couldn't stand it anymore; the smell was overly horrible, so I ended up throwing all of them in the trash (which is a waste). However, I also brought a case of 9" bully sticks for my two german shepherds at the time, but the bully sticks in the case DID NOT SMELL period. Furthermore, the bully sticks in the case was zipped in a big zipper bag, not stuffed in a plastic shopping bag. I kept all of the case and continued to give it to my gsds. For months and even now, the bully sticks never once smelled (in the bag or when they eat it), so I'll be back for the cases again soon. Though, I'm debating if I should for the individual ones. Till now, I'm still wondering if packaging affected the bully sticks or I got bad individual ones to began with. For now, I'll recommend everyone to get the case (9") instead for the nice price and packaging.

My German Sheperd normally turns up her nose at rawhide chews, but when I gave her one medium size of these she was entertained for an hour or two, off and on. I feel reasonably sure these are safe for her, and they don't have any soft splinters or break apart in chunks that she could choke on. It's very hard to find a safe dog chew, so these are WONDERFUL!

I love these for my dogs. They are so happy with them and will lay and chew them as soon as I give it to them. They're perfect to leave for them when you leave the house so they are content.
Also ANY person i've given one to to try with their dog ALWAYS comes back saying their dog loved it! So give em a try!!!

Katie loves these, and even though they are expensive, they are the only chew I will give her. Most others that are sold are bleached or processed with chemicals I don't want her to digest. No rawhides for Katie - besides chemicals, they can split or splinter, and can't be digested. Love your baby and give them bully sticks! The only thing to get used to is the slurp-slurp they make when chomping on them!

Although a bit pricey my dog LOVES this. She will sit and eat for hours. She really like the large ones so that she can play and eat.

My Lab loves bully sticks. I ordered the thicker 7" which were more expensive than the box of 35. The reviews had said the box had many thin stick types which I didn't want. Out of 10 sticks I ordered, 4 were decent thickness, others were size of pencils which my lab spends approximately 15 min. chewing and it is gone. Very disappointed in quality for this reason.

My 4 yr. old Yorkie loves these treats.
Our family Vet always comments on the condition of his teeth.
Strong, white and healthy gums.
I have to agree with most of the posts that these treats don't last very long...especially for the price.
The great news is, they are way cheaper here online then in the Pet Stores.
I pay $5 for one bully stick at our local Pet store.

As was the case with previous reviews, the sticks that I received were shorter than advertised. I ordered the 7 inch sticks and they were about 5 inches long. My dogs are beagles and not overly aggresive chewers. The sticks lasted about 20 minutes. Way too expensive for such a short lasting treat.

Absolutely safe, won't cause any intestinal obstructions like some of the other treats. My dogs love them. Have used them for years.

My little mini-pin, Tater, absolutely loves bully sticks. He is at his happiest when he is chewing away on one. These treats do not cause stomach upset or any of the problems that rawhide chews can cause. I recommend bully sticks for any dog!

My cockerpoodle mix loves her bully sticks -- she wont let anyone near her while she is chewing them. You cant go wrong with this treat - it is completely edible, doesnt splinter, and lasts for hours. For an active puppy that needs to chew, it is the best!

my 35 pound border collie mix LOVES these. we have to keep them in plastic in a container in the cabinet or she snifs them out. She loves them, but a medium chewer and 35 pounds, she chomps through 12 in about 1 hour 15 min. Just enough time for dinner, but an expensive treat to last for that long.

My dog has never liked a treat this much! Really wondeful and not that expensive for how long it lasts. The 7 inch kept my pup happy and content for a full 3 hours. We definitely have to start buying in bulk. A must try!

Our 7 month old boxer can chew both ends off a rawhide within a matter of minutes, and they bore him easily. Skeptical, we picked up a few of these at a pet expo on the advice of some rottweiler owners. I was amazed at how well they stood up to his chewing despite how thin they were, and our pup LOVES them! He will not walk away from one until we have to take it away from him. Highly recommended for those with aggresive chewers. Also excellent because once they are soggy, the pieces our dog rips off and swallows are MUCH smaller than those he pulls off rawhides, giving us peace of mind about leaving him unattended with one.

Even if your dog is a small breed like mine, dont order the small 34 in size. All they do is send smaller cut pieces off the full size bully stick. Some of the 34 inches I ordered were only 2.5 in!
Next time Ill order the full size sticks and then cut it myself with garden shears or something. However the dog loves bully sticks so hell still get them, but not precut!

I gave a small bully 3-4 inch to my 8lbs Morkie and it took her about 2 hours or more to get through it. Also, because it was small I didnt have to take it away after she had eaten so much of it, like I do with other rawhidebones. I wasnt worried that she was getting too much, and she wasnt upset with me for taking it away!

My dogs love, love, LOVE these things and they are entertained by them for hours! We are forever finding Bully sticks in the couch cushions where they are hiding them from each other and I cant say that about many of their toys. I would definently recommend them to anyone who has a dog.

I bought other products for my puppy to chew on for teething but She had trouble digesting them. A dog trainer suggested the bully sticks and she loves them. She does not have any trouble digesting them and it keeps her busy for hours. The only thing that I can say negative about them is that they do smell, but worth it for my dog to enjoy them so much after 4 months.

These are great! They keep my little guy busy for hours...I bought the small braided one to see if he would like it...but he finished it in about an hour (a 15 lb dog). I bought the long stick one (24'') and now he has barely made a dent in it...I would definently recommend "buying up"!
Dogs love them!

These things are great! My extremely picky Bloodhound adores them! Other than a few choice goodies, my girl will walk away from any treat offered. Not the Bully Sticks! She can't get enough of them! Also, I do notice that her teeth appear cleaner and her gums stay healthier between her regularly scheduled dental cleanings. I think Peggy Sue would give these delicacies two paws way up!

I've given my two dogs compressed rawhide, cow hooves, nylabones, denta-chew-chew-whatever-they're-called, you name it, if it's sold online or in a pet store, I've given it to them. Far and away, though, these are the best - we always come back to Bully Sticks. They last and last and last and last. They keep the dogs quiet. They are crunchy at first and chewy and leathery when they get slobbery. They don't mess up the carpet. Best of all, my dogs NEVER get tired of them! (But whatever you do, D*O N*O*T smell them when they're wet - it's the worst stink ever!) Anyway, Treat your dogs! They'll thank you for it and give you puppy kisses!
