I bought four of these. They suck the water out of my border collies coat quickly. She dries in less than half the time now. My Jack/Chihuahua coat is more wirey and they don't work as well but still better than a regular bath towel. I keep one in the cars for muddy paws and wet dog park days.

ive had a few of these for about eight years. they dont really work to dry off my dog, but it takes 3 beach towels to do that! they are fantastic for cleaning up spills or putting under water bowls. they wash just fine and really do hold a lot of water. good to keep in the car as theyre small.

It doesnt feel like chamois. It appears absorbent enough but not really that absorbent. You can put it in the washer and dryer but it does gather lint worse than the cotton towel. If you can find a cotton towel of the same or bigger size and the price, Id go for the cotton towel.
